Human Machine Interface
The user interface in a manufacturing or process control system.
It provides a graphics-based visualization of an industrial control and monitoring system.
Previously called an “MMI” ( man machine interface ), an HMI typically resides in an office-based Windows computer that communicates with a specialized computer ( DCS, PLC or PAC ) in the plant.
Robot Programming and Programmable Logic Controllers
Another key aspect in the automation department are Programmable Logic Controllers ( PLC's ) and Robot programming. With years of experience and knowledge in this field, we can provide you with what ever “controls&lrquo; requirements you may need.

PLC programming of many major brands such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens and Omron.
PLC programming for many applications including stand alone machines such as fixtures, weld cells and presses. Large applications include large automated cells, press lines, conveyor and robot integration and many types of equipment.

Programmable Logic Controllers
A programmable microprocessor-based device that is used in discrete manufacturing to control assembly lines and machinery on the shop floor as well as many other types of mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment in a plant.
A PLC is designed for real-time use in rugged, industrial environments.
Connected to sensors and actuators, PLCs are categorized by the number and type of I/O ports they provide and by their I/O scan rate.
Capable of performing many different tasks, it is a multiple-motion device with one or more arms and joints. Robots can be similar in form to a human, but industrial robots do not resemble people at all. Robots are designed for many purposes. In manufacturing, they are used for welding, riveting, scraping and painting.
Any work performed by Advanced Electric and Controls Inc. that requires an inspection will be discussed and negotiated with the customer at the time the quotation is to be issued. All inspections are performed by third party companies. Any monies collected by Advanced Electric and Controls Inc. for the purpose of inspections will be remitted directly back to these inspection companies.
